Update: 4/7/2016, 1:10 p.m.: ESPN reports that the Chicago White Sox are attempting to bringing Chance the Rapper on as club ambassador.
According to ESPN's sources, the baseball team is close to inking a deal with Chance. The MC would assist the White Sox in their efforts to connect with the younger generation.
The team's senior vice president of sales and marketing, Brooks Boyer, did not confirm the nature of the deal to ESPN. But he praised Chance's ability to relate to the youth. "For anyone over 28 years old, they're thrilled that Frank Thomas is back with us," Boyer told ESPN. "But we want to talk to those who are even younger, to develop interest from the Hispanic and the African-American markets. Chance resonates with them."
