Troy Ave Shot Twice Last Night In Brooklyn
The rapper went to the hospital, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Last night around 5 p.m., Troy Ave was shot twice while driving in his red Maserati in East Flatbush, reports ABC 7 NY. According to his attorney, the rapper was on his way to "meet his family in Brooklyn for Christmas dinner." The injuries were not life-threatening and Troy Ave was in stable condition at Brookdale Hospital later on in the night.
Troy Ave's attorney reports that the rapper was "targeted," as a man in a hoodie "walked up to the driver's side window, and fired shots, hitting [Troy Ave] twice." One bullet grazed Troy Ave's head and the other hit his arm.
Rapper 50 Cent visited Troy Ave in the hospital, posting on IG: "Dope boy Troy all good, Merry Christmas."
This is the second time that Troy Ave has been shot this year. Earlier in May, the rapper was grazed by a bullet in the leg during a shooting at Irving Plaza that resulted in the death of Ronald McPhatter. Although he was injured, Troy Ave was indicted on one count of attempted second degree murder and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon. His lawyer insisted that Troy Ave was acting in self-defense. The rapper is now out on bail after posting a $500,000 bond.
