Watch Chance The Rapper Explain How Kanye West Made Him Think Art Was Cool
GQ drops off some in-studio footage to go along with their latest cover story.
Chance the Rapper is GQ's latest cover star, and along with the interview, the magazine also shared some exclusive video footage shot in-studio with the man himself.
The video finds Chance and Nico Segal working in the studio on a version of "Finish Line/Drown," backed by a full choir and string section. It also includes a conversation with Chance speaking on his experience working with Kanye West on The Life of Pablo, and on Ye's importance in shaping his worldview during formative years.
"That's an unbelievable thing," said Chance, speaking on his Pablo Grammy nominations. "I never thought I would be nominated for a Grammy for working on Kanye's album, because he is like the originator of art to me, somebody that made me think art was cool, and to be outspoken and confident is cool, and also to be sensitive."
