Rick Ross stopped by The Breakfast Club on Tuesday. During the interview, Ross shared his thoughts on Tyga's recent financial dispute with Birdman and responded to a question about signing women rappers.
At around the 8:45 mark, Angela Yee asked Ross why there weren't any woman rappers on Ross's Maybach Music Group label. "You know, I never did it because I always thought, like, I would end up fucking a female rapper and fucking the business up," Ross replied. "I'm so focused on my business. I just, I gotta be honest with you."
He continued, "You know, she looking good. I'm spending so much money on her photo shoots. I gotta fuck a couple times."
On Thursday, Ross responded to his comment in a post on Facebook. "My entire empire's backbone is led by 2 of the strongest people I know and they happen to be women, my mother and sister," the rapper wrote. "The operations wouldn't run without them and I have the highest regard and respect for women in this industry." Read the full statement below.
