Princess Nokia has spoken about confronting a man who used racist insults to her and others on the subway in New York. The incident went viral on Tuesday, October 10, when footage shot by an onlooker was shared by the Baller Alert Twitter account, Princess Nokia subsequently added her own thoughts on what went down.
The New York rapper, who recently released a deluxe version of her 1992 mixtape, said the incident occurred when the man in the video "called a group of teenage boys "niggers" on the train so I stood up and slapped him." She stated that when she hit the man he used the same insult against her. The video shows a group of people forcibly remove the man from the carriage when it arrived at the next stop. She ended her tweets by saying, "I will do anything to defend the honor of my brothers and sisters #blacklivesmatter."
