Melbourne multi-instrumentalist and singer Mark Zito, who performs as Fractures, shares a new single today titled "Sculptures." The ambient rock performer also announces that he has signed with FADER Label, after FADER president and publisher Andy Cohn first heard and fell in love with Zito's music in 2016, and reached out to the musician personally. The seasoned performer comes on board with two projects already under his belt, a self-titled record from 2014, and 2017's Still Here.
In an email to The FADER, Zito wrote of the new single: "The idea here is that as we change and grow, every day builds on the day before, strengthening the connection of two people. It alludes to sculptures as something that typically are everlasting and withstand the test of time. It deals with the moments of doubt everyone has with any relationship, internal questioning of whether it’s heading in the right direction but ultimately knowing that the whole business of LOVE is about persistence and tolerance."
