Dinosaur Jr. and Sebadoh are both still very much at it — the former touring with its original lineup and the latter coming off its ninth studio album, Act Surprised. So, even though the vans might be better and the food might come less often from a gas station, Lou Barlow, a founding member of both bands and a pioneering indie rock legend, is still acquiring tour stories. He swung by The FADER offices recently to tell us one, from the late-'80s, when Sebadoh visited Paris to play on TV, ended up with a bloody-nosed drummer, and tried to skip out on their hotel. It's the kind of scuzzy rock story that couldn't really be replicated today (who's looking for hash so intently in 2019?) and you can watch it in all its glory at the top of the page.
