It's been a tumultuous few weeks for Taylor Swift. Her conflict with Scott Borchetta, head of her former label Big Machine, and Scooter Braun, who recently acquired the rights to her back catalogue, came to a head earlier this month when Swift revealed that the two men were blocking her from performing a career-spanning medley at the 2019 American Music Awards in honor of her Artist of the Decade award. In response, Braun made a statement alleging that he and Borchetta had done nothing of the sort, stating that she was allowed to perform her old music without reservation.
It seems that there was some truth to Braun's statement: Swift has taken to the AMAs stage this evening to perform a career-spanning medley, including songs from Lover ("The Man," "Lover,") 1989 ("Blank Space," "Shake It Off,") Red ("I Knew You Were Trouble,") Fearless ("Love Story") and more. Notably, fellow AMA recipients Camila Cabello and Halsey joined Swift onstage during "Shake It Off."
