Rauw Alejandro and Chencho Corleone have released a new song titled "Desesperados." The track comes with a music video which features a slo-mo, panning lens that captures the two Puerto Rican performers singing in clubs, cul de sacs, black-and-white bedrooms and polychrome flower fields. It will be added to Alejandro's latest album, VICE VERSA, replacing "Track 4," a 17-second interlude comprising electronic blips and a robot voice that repeats the word "Loading."
"Desesperado" caps off a successfull year. VICE VERSA debuted at #1 on Billboard's Top Latin Chart in June. Alejandro is also nominated for the Best Música Urbana award at the 2022 Grammys and recently received a Latin Grammy (Best Urbano Fusion/Performance) for his "Tattoo Remix" with Colombian pop star Camilo.
On the new track, Alejandro and Chencho sing about an affair so passionate that the lovers can't be bothered to park their car before ripping their clothes off, even though a hotel room is already reserved in their name(s), over an infectious cumbia rhythm. Watch and listen above.
