Big Thief share live video for “Red Moon”
Their new album, Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You, is out today via 4AD.
Big Thief is the band that keeps on giving. To celebrate the release of Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You — their kaleidoscopic, 20-track fifth studio LP — they've shared a video for mid-album barn burner "Red Moon."
According to a press release, the video captures the actual take of the track that appears on the record. The camera, held by lead singer Adrianne Lenker's younger brother Noah, pans infinitely around a tiny recording studio where all four members of the band plus Mat Davidson — who adds fiddle and backing vocals here and elsewhere on the album — jam joyfully. The short film is a glorious, grainy glimpse into what makes the new project so special.
