Report: Pete Davidson is leaving SNL
Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon, and Kyle Mooney are also expected to depart when the show’s current season ends this weekend.
Pete Davidson will be leaving the cast of NBC’s Saturday Night Live following its season 47 finale this weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter and Variety. Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon, and Kyle Mooney are also expected to leave the show following tomorrow’s episode, which will be hosted by The Russian Doll‘s Natasha Lyonne and feature musical guest Japanese Breakfast.
Davidson joined SNL eight years ago, at the start of season 40. He has since become a household name, thanks in part to heavily publicized romantic relationships with Ariana Grande and Kim Kardashian. The news comes as he begins to promote his forthcoming auto-fictional Peacock series, Bupkis, which will co-star The Sopranos’ Edie Falco as Davidson’s mother.
The FADER has reached out to representatives of Davidson and NBC Universal for confirmation and further comment.
