Jim Legxacy announces new mixtape HNPM
The project is due out April 26.
Last month, Jim Legxacy shared “old place,” his first single of the year, which we deemed worthy of our near-unattainable Song You Need certification. Today (April 13), the South London (Lewisham, to be precise) singer-rapper-producer revealed that track as the lead single from a forthcoming mixtape.
HNPM (short for Homeless N***a Pop Music) is a 12-track endeavor, with Legxacy taking care of all things musical and his close collaborator Fidel — who shot the video for “old place” — helming the project’s visual side. In addition to the tape’s official announcement, a press release reveals that the record’s next single will be its third track, “amnesia111,’ accompanied by another Fidel music film.
“my mixtape ‘homeless n***a pop music’ is out april 26th, a collection of all the songs & demos i started whilst i was homeless,” Legxacy wrote in an Instagram post this afternoon. “thank u for everyone that gave me a place to sleep, record & create. & thank u to everyone who is following me on this journey. i love u all.”
