Jean Dawson has shared two new takes on tried and true source material for Spotify Singles’ Black Music Month series. The songs in question are “Window Shopper” — a classic financial flex from 50 Cent’s 2005 album The Massacre — and “PORN ACTING*,” a standout from his own 2022 album CHAOS NOW*. The former track gets a signature Dawson pop-punk treatment that would fit will on that project, while the latter cut is reassembled as a campside folk-country jam. Listen below.
After performing at Lollapalooza on August 5, Dawson will head out on his “ Big F’ing Deal” headlining tour in the fall, followed by a late-October opening slot for Interpol at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre. Scroll down to see all of his upcoming live dates.
