Read Houston Police’s report on the Astroworld 2021 tragedy
The 1,266-page report was released a month after a grand jury declined to indict Scott.
The Houston Police Department have shared a 1,266-page report on the 2021 Astroworld tragedy. The event, an annual festival hosted by Travis Scott at NRG Park on November 6, turned fatal during Scott’s headline performance when a crowd surge killed ten and injured thousands. Read the full report here via ABC 13.
The report contains extensive summaries of interviews with Astroworld attendees, police officers, vendors, and other individuals who were involved in the planning and production of the festival. It also contains a detailed timeline of Scott’s set and the chaos within the audience and behind the scenes.
Last month, a Texas grand jury ruled that Scott would not face criminal charges in the Astroworld tragedy. Scott and the festival promoter Live Nation still face civil suits from a number of different plaintiffs. The report’s release comes the same day as that of Scott’s fourth studio album, Utopia.
