Travis Scott has announced a tour behind his new album Utopia, his first run of shows since the Astroworld 2021 tragedy. The “Utopia Tour Presents Circus Maximus” will follow Scott’s first post-Utopia performance, held yesterday at the actual Circus Maximus in Rome, which featured a surprise guest performance from Kanye West. See the details here. Scott’s initial idea to debut the album at the Pyramids of Giza fell through amid a chaotic set of circumstances.
The newly announced tour will kick off September 25 at the United Center in Detroit and make its way around the United States clockwise, stopping in Houston — Scott’s hometown and the site of the Astroworld catastrophe — for an October 19 show at the Toyota Center before continuing its route to the Pacific Northwest. After early November stops in Seattle, Vancouver, and Portland, Scott will head south again for shows in Austin, Nashville, and Miami. See the full schedule below via Pitchfork.
