The single follows a recent tour of the South and Appalachia.
Lana Del Rey has released her take on the 1971 John Denver classic ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’. The one-off single follows her ninth studio album, Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd, which was released earlier this year. Scroll down to listen to the cover now.
"Take Me Home, Country Roads" is the second single Del Rey has shared since the release of her album and follows "Say Yes To Heaven," which came out in May. Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd was recently nominated for five Grammys Awards, including Album of the Year. Last month it was announced that The Hard Rock Hotel in Long Beach, California is repurposing the abandoned Jergins Tunnel into a bar in honor of the album.
In addition to releasing her own material, Del Rey has also appeared on songs with Bleachers, Holly Macve, and her dad, Rob Grant, in 2023.
Next year Del Rey will headline a number of festivals, with appearances at Primavera Sound 2024 and Reading & Leeds already confirmed.
