Doja Cat has always been allergic to serving a bland red carpet look and her 2025 Oscar's fit was no exception. The pop star arrived at the red carpet on Sunday in head-to-toe leopard print, from her custom strapless Balmain gown down to the skinny Y2K scarf that draped around her neck. Even her hair, styled as a tight fro, echoed the print's with its blond tips and dark roots.
The pop star's look was custom made by Balmain creative director Olivia Rousting who allegedly spent 5,600 hours on it, per Vogue. The dress pulls inspiration from a vintage Balmain look from 1953, and was entirely hand-embroidered by 46 artisans who sewed micro beads to create the pattern. The attention to detail extends to the placement of the spots, which aren't cut off anywhere and create a continuous pattern, per Vogue.
This isn't the first time Doja Cat's worn a feline-inspired look to the red carpet. At the 2023 Met Gala she arrived to the carpet in facial prosthetics too look like Karl Lagerfeld's cat, Choupette. The leopard print is also very timely as everything Y2K is back in vogue.
Doja Cat was tapped as a performer for the 2025 Oscars award ceremony, alongside RAYE and LISA from BLACKPINK. See more photos of her look, below.
