Charli XCX us plotting a new mixtape of material produced by A.G. Cook set for release at the end of February. The British pop star, who is also due to release the party-centric follow up to her 2014 album Sucker in 2017, announced the news of her mixtape on Instagram Live yesterday. The clip of her talking about the tape can be seen above.
As FACT points out, XCX also talked to Dallas radio station Hot 93.3 about the mixtape in a recent interview. She told the hosts that she made the tape behind her label's back when she was feeling “very frustrated and annoyed.” Sound-wise, XCX promises more party-based songs but, “this is more like crying into the champagne than drinking it.”
